TRUSTCOLOR pearl pigment should be well oriented in the film by giving ,moderate FLOW and PRESSURE .

The coatings with pearlized paints can be applied in almost all methods like:

---Spraying

---Roller Coating

---Air Curtain Coating

---Dipping

---Brushing However, in order to achieve an optimum pearl effect in coatings, spray coating is the most suitable application method.

It is generally said that pearl pigment is better orientated than Al flake.

When the pearl pigment is pre-wetted, you should be careful of solvent shock. The use of general thinner is recommentdable.

Over-mixing, over-kneading or ever over-processing can lead to the fracture of the plate-like flake structure of pearl pigment into smaller light scattering particles, producing a less lustrous appearance in the film. Pearl pigments are destroyed, if it is dispersed like general inorganic pigments. In this case, pearl luster effect is weaker or is not generated. You should avoid overdispersing using a dispersing machine such as sand-mill.

When combining with pearl pigments, the colorants shoud be well dispersed. Poor dispersion of othe colorants sometimes cause pearl pigments to act as beads, which changes dispersion condition of other colorants (grow corpusle). This problem occurs expecially in the applications in paints and inks. Accordingly, you should be very careful of the dispersion of colorants. Insufficient dispersion of other colorants cause the particle size of other colorants to change due to pearl pigment.

Cleaning condition of processing machines is also very important to application. If the cleaning condition of the line is bad or paint puddle remains in the line, when pearlized paint is flow in the paint line, pearl pigment scrapes dust in the line, and this dust appears on the final product as foreign matter.

The pearl luster effect is produced by reflection and transmittance of light (Regular Multiple Reflection). Accordingly, in the case of opaque formulation, regular multiple reflection is hindered.

Color surfacer is sometimes used for car paint, therefore, it is important to check backgroud color. In the repair paint field, flat surface is required for good pearl orientation.

If some paint systems of (top) clear layer exist such as single top coat, double top coat and so on, the finish of final product is changed.

Plastic

Daily Appliances Food Containers, Floor Materials, Balloon, Cosmetic Containers, etc.

Sinopigments pearl pigment should be well oriented in the film by giving ,moderate FLOW and PRESSURE .

When processing pearl pigment in a plastic material, optimum pearl luster effects are achieved only if the pearl pigment platelets are well orientated,i.e. If they are directed as parallel as possible to the surface of the plastic material.

Pearl pigments should be mixed with a plastic material thoroughtly but gently. Some dispersant shoud be used at need

When dispersing pearl pigments within plastic material, it is important to avoid overgrinding or overmilling, since this would fracture the plate-like flake structure into smaller light-scatering particles, producing less lustrous appearance.

Insufficient dispersion of other colorants cause the particle size of other colorants to change due to pearl pigment.

Cleaning condition of processing machines is also very important to application. If the cleaning condition of the molding machine is bad , when pearlized plastic material is flow in the molding machine, pearl pigment scrapes dust in molding machine, and this dust appears on the final product as foreign matter.

Pearl pigment used in combination with other colorants in order to hide backgroud color and /or hide interior of the final product.(e.g. Bottles) For a good pearl luster effect, it is a very important factor to combine and /or balance between pearl pigment and other colorants.

When using the backgroud layer,(e.g. Multilayer blow molding). It is important to check backgound color.

Printing

Packages, Textile, Wrapping Paper, Wallpaper, Envelopes, etc.

Sinopigments pearl pigment should be well oriented in the film by giving ,moderate FLOW and PRESSURE .

For optimum pearl luster effects, it is necessary to orientate pearl luster platelets parallel to the surface. In printing, good orientation of pearl pigment can be easily achieved.

The pulverulent pearl pigments should be incorporated by thorough but gentle mixing, since the thin pigment platelets are sensitive to fracture. It is advisable first to prepare a paste of the pearl pigment in a part of the liquid printing ink or in a solvent or diluent which is compatible with the printing ink,and then to stir the paste homogeneously into the rest of the printing ink which in other respects is completely formulated. Simple stirrers are suitable for this step.

Insufficient dispersion of other colorants cause the particle size of other colorants to change due to pearl pigment.

Cleaning condition of processing machines is also very important to application. Insufficient cleansing of printing machine woul probably bring out foreign matter of the final product.

Pearl pigment can be used in combination with other colorants in order to hide background color. For a good pearl luster effect, it is a very important factor to combine and /or balance between pearl pigments and other colorants.

It is very important check background color especially in printing field. Because, in most cases, any other colorants are not

added to pearlized ink.

The achievable pearl luster effect can be increased still further the more smooth and even the surface of the printing stock selected. Therefore, on printing, for example, paper of high quality is always preferable.

Most print systems do not adopt (top) clear layer on pearl luster. The use of (top) clear layer changes the pearl luster effect of final product.

Cosmetics

Makeup Products, Tooth paste, Soap, Hair shampoo & conditioner, etc.

Pressed powder cannot be sufficiently dispersed without adding pearl pigment to dispersed powder before adding oil.

But pearl pigment is destroyed, if it is dispersed like general inorganic pigments. In this case, pearl luster effect is weaker or is not generated. Inless colorants are sufficiently dispersed, good skin feel and color uniformity cannot be obtained.

Cleaning condition of processing machines is also very important to cosmetic application. If the cleaning condition of the machine is bad, remain matter appear on the next product as foreign matter.
